Meet the team
Hello, lovely to meet you! We started off as a husband and wife team and over the years have expanded our team into one happy family.
The Owners: Richard & Jacquie Hale
We are a husband and wife team initially inspired by the tipis back in 2010. We have grown the Elite team over the last 10 years with an office and crew who literally LOVE our tents. That is why it has been easy to build an ethos in which every Elite employee care about the events and the people they work with, and are prepared to go the extra mile to ensure that their event is as stress free as possible and memorable for all of the right reasons! Having been involved in over 6090 events we have a huge amount of experience and will be able to help, support and advise you in every aspect of your outdoor event.
The Warehouse Manager: Matt
“Hi, I’m Matt and I’ve been working at Elite Tents for 7 years. I originally started out as a crew member and have gradually progresses to the roles of senior crew chief and warehouse manager.
It’s my job to ensure the warehouse runs efficiently to meet the needs of the day to day running of the business. When I’m not checking stock I will be loading the trailers and checking that all the correct equipment needed for your event is ready to go.
Depending on our workload I might be required on site to help our amazing crew with building the tents to create the perfect day for you. I love this role as it’s always great to see how happy our customers are when they see the finished product.
When I’m not busy working at Elite I enjoy spending time with my family going out for meals or just relaxing at home together.
I love being outdoors and most weekends I will be riding the trail on my mountain bike or kayaking on the local canal. Music is also a bit of a passion of mine.
So that’s a bit about me and hopefully I will get to meet some of you if I’m on site!”
Senior Crew Chief: Chris
“I’m Chris, and as Senior Crew Chief I oversee the build and decoration of our event structures, working alongside my great teammates.
I’m a big reader, with thirty books read in the first four months of 2023. I enjoy listening to audiobooks when I’m driving and when gardening, which is one of my favourite pastimes. I like to visit new places, seeking out interesting cities, beautiful landscapes, and enjoying short walks on the beach. I do occasionally spend time indoors – mostly when gaming or watching Formula 1!
I have worked within the marquee industry for over sixteen years, and during my time with Elite I have erected hundreds of tents and hung thousands of lights! Being outside most days is a great part of this job, and I really enjoy delivering an excellent service to our customers as they celebrate in their beautiful surroundings.”
Office Manager: Debbie
Debbie absolutely ‘keeps it in the family’, sister of Jacquie she looks after customers right from booking to the day of their event, ready at the end of the phone for even the smallest of questions. She is the lady who will ensure every i is dotted and every t is crossed for your special event.
Senior Crew Member: Steve
“Hi my name is Steve and I’m a senior crew member of Elite Tents.
Like all the staff here at Elite I do a variety of things. My main role is the on site erecting of tents but when I’m not on site I’m at our home base doing maintenance on our equipment ensuring that all the hire equipment is in the best possible condition.
I’m part of a fantastic team of talented people that put their all into what they do. We’re all here because we love the work and being part of the best day of someone’s life. The sense of job satisfaction I get from finishing a build and seeing the customer bowled over by what we have built knowing I’ve helped part of their dream for their perfect day come true keeps me coming back for more!
Outside of work I live quite a quiet life. I have two children both boys aged 18 and 15, I’ve been lucky enough to have been married to my amazing wife for 15 years, and with all of us living busy lives home tends to be a haven. We spend time together watching films and playing games!”
Crew Member: Alistair
“What I enjoy most about Elite Tents is being outdoors going to the different places in the area with amazing scenery and adding to that with the work we do.
We are a small team of people who all pull their weight and create great atmosphere to work in together that is always friendly, fun and hard working.
I want to be able to learn all there is to learn in the business and to be a valuable asset to the team and the company.
Out of work I like football, both watching and playing but I support Wolves so it’s not always great! I go to the occasional match when possible and play 6 a-side with my friends once a week.
The work I do helps but I’ve recently got into the gym and my fitness in my down time. For the weekends I always try to spend my time with my friends and family going for drinks, meals or other events.”

Alexis of Alexis Walker Weddings
Alexis has over 14 years of experience, having worked in Lake Como as a coordinator for many years. Now she is back in the UK and is based in Warwick, but she will travel far and wide for all of her clients, there is no limit!
Alexis has lots of tips and skills to make sure you save money, time and stress. She ensures you enjoy every minute of the planning journey; that your wedding day runs like clockwork; and that your wedding is truly THE best day of your lives.
Alexis knows that a tent wedding is like a giant jigsaw puzzle; without the guidance and experience of someone who has managed and created hundreds of spectacular events, it can become costly and a real time sucker if not done right.
Alexis believes that your outdoor wedding is a beautiful blank canvas for you to bring to life all your ideas and visions of your day. To start you off with your planning Alexis, together with Elite, has created a fabulous budget spreadsheet. Just contact the office and we will send you a pdf to print off and get started… and of course she will be very happy to help you if you get stuck!
Jess at The Wedding Help
Jess’ mantra is “Love what you do and you will never work a day in your life”…and When you plan with Jess you will see that is absolutely true of her. She will be with you through every step of the planning and of course, on the day itself too. Her understanding of weddings and celebrations is unparalleled; “I just get them and know what it takes to create incredible weddings and parties.” she says.
As well as living and breathing weddings and celebrations Jess absolutely loves the great outdoors. To her there is no place better than the UK countryside (whatever the weather!), So working with you on your outdoor wedding is her dream job.
Planning with Jess means you will get honesty, transparency and expertise formed by all her experience. Her journey into weddings and parties began with a degree in Events Management, then onto working within a wide variety of venues and businesses including a country estate, catering companies, hotels and even corporate events. This means her knowledge surpasses just weddings and parties and enables her to work with not only the very best suppliers but venues and marquee companies too.
Amelia of Amelia Thompson Weddings & Events
Amelia Thompson ensures that she works closely with all of her clients, having a strong company ethos and style of planning that puts her couples at the centre….
She listens carefully to to the wishes of her couples, then adds ideas and creative touches if they’re required. Amelia is ultra organised and will take the stress out of your planning by sourcing suppliers and running the big day discreetly in the background.
It is important to Amelia that throughout the planning process she gains the trust of her couples, so they feel relaxed and enjoy the planning journey. All her planning is done through face to face consultations with you, meaning that together you build a great relationship; all helping to fully understand what you would like their wedding day to be like and bring it to fruition.
Amelia takes the time to find out what is important to you, so she can help you get the day you dream of and that you’ll remember forever. She is able to not only provide knowledge from a planning point of view but has great experience in executing those plans too… having worked in key roles of both Catering Assistant Manager and Wedding Coordinator at an Award Winning venue.
Although Amelia is based in Shropshire she also loves to travel so do ask her even if you are outside her area.
