Like the tipis; our sailcloth has traditional wooden poles, and high points within the roof. However these tents are opal in colour, a pearlescent white that is beautifully elegant. Hiring a Sailcloth for your wedding or event means you can have the traditional white theme and is a real favourite with photographers because of its bright interior.
The Sailcloth Tent was born in the United States and in 2019 we imported the first of our Sailcloth’s in response to brides who feel that ‘some weddings just have to be white’! They are incredibly popular across New England and are very similar in style to Sperry Tents, having completely clear sides so that the view can be seen even if they need to be closed up to keep out the elements. Alternatively the sides can be raised or removed to have a completely gorgeous open sided venue for your event allowing you to bring the outside in, just as we always have done with the tipis.

The sailcloth tents come in four sizes, from a round, one peaked set up which can hold 80 guests, plus a bar and dance floor, right up to a four peaked 32m long venue for up to 300 guests. The sailcloth tents really are magnificent; they can be dressed traditionally, for example with candelabras and round tables but also have the versatility to be as rustic and informal as you would like. The service we received from start to finish was just outstanding and they did everything to make our day so perfect. I always thought it would be difficult booking this sort of wedding but after just querying about it and getting a brochure we had so much information and was so happy to book with them. We chose Elite tents for our wedding in June because on initial contact they were the most helpful. They understood what we wanted and offer exactly what we were after.
