How to Find a Venue

Our Dream Venues…

Over the past 11 years we have worked with so many fantastic wedding venues. From 2019 we have chosen 6 venues in the Midlands area who are truly amazing. These six venues have each been hand picked firstly because they are gorgeous, but also each one has its own special features that may appeal to you.

There is a write up and photos of each venue within our Dream Venues Brochure. Please download it and have a read through. Then if you would like to arrange a viewing, you can either contact as many of the venues as you choose for yourself or contact the girls in the office to arrange them for you. Each description contains the venue’s contact details. (Let us know if you do make contact with a venue and we will ensure that your enquiry is followed up quickly and efficiently.)

Finding your own wedding venues

Internet searches on sites like Borrow My Garden or Hitched can be a great place to start. Local sports clubs and village halls will often hire out their land to you at a reasonable price and campsites are also a good idea as they often come with some of the facilities included.
Alternatively you could give us a call at the office and see whether any of our venues suit your plans. In our opinion outdoor wedding venues can be divided into three categories, so have a think what would suit you best and then let us know and we will help you on your search…

Farms and Fields…

Farmland and fields are easy to hire and can work out a cost effective place to hold your tipi event. There are many farms that already hire out their land regularly. If you find a local farmer willing to rent the land to you, you may need a temporary events license. Don’t worry, this is really easy to get. When you hire land it’s fabulous because you have a completely blank canvas. Do bear in mind you may also need a generator and luxury toilets. You’ll be pleased to know we have some excellent sub-contractors we work with so will be able to help you with that too if you like.

Wedding venues with accommodation…

We have set up tipis in the gardens of some beautiful houses and holiday homes. Many of them have bedrooms or whole cottages where you and some of your guests can stay. Some have facilities such as power, toilets and may even offer to coordinate or run your bar for the event. These venues are usually slightly more expensive than having a field but do offer added luxury which suits some people.

Venues with a wedding license…

In truth there are not many venues where you can hold an outdoor wedding that also has a wedding license. However some stately homes offer this option. There are some absolutely stunning places across the Midlands including Keddleston Hall, Sandon Hall among others. The alternative is to get married at a register office prior to your tipi reception and hold a wedding ceremony outdoors or even inside the tipis. Our office staff are keen to help you with this option too, either finding a venue that can offer the license or creating a wet weather plan for an outside ceremony if that is the best option for you.
